Privacy Policy
Effective date: 14 April 2026
This privacy policy applies to the Roundbook app (the "Application") for mobile devices, created by Roundbook (the "Service Provider") as a free service. This service is provided "as is".
Information collection and use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
- The pages of the Application you visit, the time and date of your visit, and time spent on those pages
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
- Your email address (used for account creation and sign-in)
- Your display name (chosen by you during onboarding)
- Golf round data you enter: courses, scores, dates, formats, and player names
- If you sign in with Google or Apple: your email address and display name from those services
Location
The Application may request access to your device's location to help auto-fill course information when logging a round. Location data is used only in the moment you request it and is not stored or shared with third parties. You can deny or revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings.
How your information is used
The Service Provider uses the information collected to:
- Create and manage your account
- Store and display your golf rounds, stats, and history
- Personalise your experience with your display name and preferences
- Send important account-related emails (e.g. email verification)
- Contact you from time to time with important notices or information about the service
- Analyse usage patterns and improve the overall performance of the Application
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.
Third-party access

- With trusted service providers who work on the Service Provider's behalf, are bound by this privacy statement, and have no independent use of the information disclosed to them
The Application uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
Opt-out rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process on your mobile device or via the app marketplace.
Data retention
The Service Provider will retain your data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you would like your data deleted, please see the section below or contact hello@roundbook.golf.
Deleting your account and data
You have full control over your data. There are two ways to delete your account and all associated data:
- In-app deletion: Open the app, tap your avatar (top right), scroll down and tap Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, all rounds, stats, and personal data from our servers. This cannot be undone.
- By email: Contact us at hello@roundbook.golf with the subject "Delete My Account" and we will process your request promptly.
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed: your email address and display name, all golf rounds, scores, and notes you have entered, and your app settings and preferences. No data is retained after deletion. We do not keep backups of individual user accounts.
Children
The Application is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be immediately deleted. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at hello@roundbook.golf.
Security
The Service Provider takes the security of your information seriously. Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which provides encrypted storage and authentication compliant with industry-standard security practices. Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are in place to protect the information collected and maintained.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new policy and a revised effective date. You are advised to review this policy regularly. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of any changes.
